She’s pregnant again.

I got a call from our children’s social worker today. Their biological mother is pregnant again. She saw her children one time in the year 2014, yet now with this new pregnancy and with this new man she feels “ready” to have her children back.

With each and every new development in this case my heart just breaks a little bit more.

    • Oh, of course! The first thing my husband said when I told him was, “we will need a bigger vehicle!” I don’t know what will happen this year now… All I know is that we’ll be here for these children til the very end. 🙂

  1. The bittersweetnss of foster care. It’s great that mum feels “ready” to get her children back but it’s awful for you. It’s not as simple for her to get her children back as she may think, especially if she has had no contact in the last year. So, while she may think she’s ready, the opposite may happen and you may end up with another bubba.
Thinking of you in this emotional rollercoaster time.

  2. I have been where you are so many times in the last three years. The frightening ride of, “here today, gone tomorrow…..oops, back again!” The mother of two of my precious angels is pregnant again as well. While there is a 99% chance that she will not get her 2 boys back, I am sure she is hoping to keep this new beautiful creation…….while I pray that she can somehow, miraculously, retain custody of her newborn child, there is a vicious cycle of repeated behaviors.

You are right to just live on, love on, and trust that God has it all under control…….because He does! So many times I have stood over Coconut’s bed when we first got him 3 years ago, and Cocoa Bean’s crib when he came to us at birth last January……..and PRAYED!! God hears us and will give us the strength to bear whatever may come.

Love reading about your beautiful family 🙂
